Improvisationsstudion in Stockholm and Improverket in Gothenburg present examples from our productions and courses, and panel a discussion on how to create scenes and characters beyond stereotypes. Our seminar will show examples from the creation and development of »Hetero«, a show exploring and shedding light on heterosexual norms and how they affect on relationships and society. Improv is an artform where used skills often resembles traditional female traits. Make your partner happy, keeping the group together and advanced listening e.g. - skills women in general are assigned to train in life. In Improverkets beginner classes women are in vast majority, and has been for all our history. In expert level, and in semi professional groups spurned from improv classes, however, they were not. Some how, for some reason, professional groups all over the world too often contain of a majority of men. What have we done and what can we do to change this?
