Challenges faced by BAME improvisers in today’s UK improv culture

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Despite being an art form that so often claims to be welcoming, open and inclusive, Improv appears to have a serious problem when it comes to racial diversity.
We’ll be discussing why scholarships aren’t as useful as everyone seems to think, why the problems extend beyond getting BAME improvisers through the doors and what active BAME improvisers need now when it comes to improv communities, classes and performances. Expect humour and honesty!
The panel will also share examples from around the UK and answer questions - this is your chance to ask anything you haven't been able to ask before!
